岭南的特产食品分为小食，家常菜，水果等。第一，我要来介绍的就是我们的岭南佳果荔枝。荔枝能称得上是岭南果霸了，荔枝是我们岭南培养起来，因为就只有岭南这一带地区才适合种植，荔枝是热带果实，受不起寒冷的影响，所以就会在岭南范围内生长得出。据说，以前杨贵妃很喜欢吃荔枝，到了荔枝的季节，皇帝为了博取杨贵妃一笑，派人骑千里马从北方千里迢迢地来岭南摘荔枝回去吃，连续跑了三天三夜，死了几匹千里马才将荔枝送到，之后，当地人将杨贵妃曾吃过的那棵树叫妃子笑来命名。荔枝味道鲜美，剥开深红色的皮，轻轻地咬上一口，鲜甜的果汁渗入口中，稍微有点儿酸，加上甜甜的味道，只要吃过的人，都会赞不绝口，回味无穷，真是日啖荔枝三百颗，不辞长作岭南人。唐代诗人白居易尝过荔枝后、也不禁赞叹道：嚼疑天上味，嗅异世间香，润胜连生水，鲜逾桔汤霜。什么东西都有它的优点和缺点，而它的缺点就是比较燥热，吃得太多会上火的哦！
除了香浓甜醇的荔枝，当然还有其它美食，我们岭南人有喝早茶的习惯。接不来，就说说岭南美食之四——糯米鸡。说起糯米鸡也有好多种类，湖南的，赣州的，但是，我们岭南的糯米鸡就与众不一样，受人喜爱。
顾名思义，糯米鸡务必用糯米做的，选一些大片的荷叶，将糯米浸泡两个小时，再取出滤干，放入蒸锅中蒸熟，将鸡肉切成小块，调好味道，然后再把蒸熟的糯米饭，鸡，蛋的材料一齐用荷叶裹上，再蒸一会就能能吃啦！介绍完做法，就来品尝一下吧。糯米鸡胀鼓鼓的，厚墩墩的，就像两只缩在一齐的小狗熊，拆开荷叶，一阵荷叶的香味吸引你忍不住去咬一口，就能到里面的鲜甜，多汁的饭，饭里还伴有鸡肉，蛋等等的佐料。真是糯米鸡中吃一口，美味尽在此刻中。

关于“佛跳墙”这个名字还有一个小故事：清朝某寺院旁有一个聚春园酒家，一天大厨用山珍海味秘制的一道菜，做完时香传十里，禅僧闻得其香，竟不顾佛门戒律，放下木鱼，越墙前来觅食。故得其美名。
刚开始，我还不相信这个故事，可亲自品尝后才有所体会。有一次爷爷生日，我们到位于东街口的聚春园吃饭，爸爸特地点了佛跳墙，不一会儿，一个大坛子端了上来，服务员刚打开盖子，浓香四溢，久久没有散去。
我不禁产生疑问：“这是用什么时候东西做的?一问才知道，原来是用鱼翅、海参、鲍鱼、干贝、火腿、鸡鸭、羊等十几种食材做主料，加之花菰、冬笋、绍酒、桂皮、姜片、白萝卜为辅料，经过蒸、炸、泡等几种方法烹制，封贮于坛中，食前用谷糠皮文火煨热，启坛时香传十里。我的天哪!这么多种食材，这么多道程序，我可要好好品尝一下闽菜的头把交椅——佛跳墙。
我连忙用勺子舀了一碗，鱼翅入口滑嫩，海参有嚼头……吃完后口齿留香，回味无穷，难怪寺中和尚越墙觅食。也难怪佛跳墙扬名海内外，来福州的中外游客，无不以品尝“佛跳墙”为乐。
